The Negative Side of Scrappiness
It’s a good idea to be scrappy, to ship before you’re ready, publish when you’re not entirely sure, launch before all the features are polished.
But don’t forget to look at the long-term implications.
Will your scrappiness cause a lot of pain a week from now? Will you have difficulties, a series of bug reports, complaints, customer support tickets, or angry comments on social media? Will it have a negative effect on your next article or course?
If the answer to those questions is yes, you might want to spend a bit more time refining to avoid unnecessary problems down the line.
And this doesn’t mean that you’re postponing or procrastinating. You’re putting on finishing touches that will make a big difference in your productivity after shipping.
